An International Licence is also accepted. , your licence should be readable if not in the Roman Alphabet. License must be held for a minimum of three years.
Security deposit is an amount blocked on the clients credit card to cover additional expenses/excess fees and is refunded on the safe return of the vehicle.
We do not block any excess amount on your credit card but only an authorization at the time of delivering the rental to you. The authorization is only in the event should you return the rental with any scratches or damages where we shall then provide you with a damage report and cost before charging to your card.

By signing the rental contract this term and conditions shall constitute to be the same terms and conditions and one complete contract between the renter and the company.
In case of accident, fire or theft the hirer must inform the Police on 999 and Le Charme Car Rental immediately.
The renter is liable to pay any traffic fines even after returning the rental and the company shall charge to the client the fine.
- The rented vehicle shall not be used to carry passengers or property for hire.
- The rented vehicle shall not be used to carry passengers other than in the interior or cab of the vehicle.
- The rented vehicle shall not be used to push, propel or tow another vehicle, trailer or any other thing without the written permission of the Owner.
- The rented vehicle shall not be used for any race or in any competition.
- The rented vehicle shall not be used for any illegal purpose.
- The Renter shall not operate the vehicle in a negligent manner.

FREE CANCELLATION of your booking up to 7 days after your reservations has been confirmed, if your rental starts in less than 7 days you can cancel for free up to 48 hours before the rental starts. After this period the below cancellation policy will apply.
We will NOT charge you for the full rental amount at the time of reservation. We ONLY charge you a 20% deposit to ensure your vehicle is reserved on a case by case basis. If you have chosen to pay your rental in full in advance the same condition will apply.
If you cancel within your free cancellation period, we will refund your full deposit/advanced payment less 3.9% VISA and MASTERCARD FEE or 4.9% AMEX FEE
All cancellations must be made by e-mail to booking@lecharmecarhire.com or We must receive a cancellation notice a minimum of 48hrs before vehicle collection.
No refund will be given for no shows, early returns or voluntary down-grades of booked vehicles. All cancellations should be via email to booking@lecharmecarhire.com. Amending your booking or canceling optional extras may not be possible less than 48 hours before pick up. What is a no-show? A no- show occurs for the following reasons:
- You did not inform us about your cancellation prior to your pick-up date.
- If a booking is not canceled and the renter fails to show up, a no-show fee will be charged at one days rental or the 20% deposit fee.
- You failed to pick up the car at the arranged time and date.
- You failed to provide the documentation that is required to pick up the car.
- You failed to provide a credit card in the main drivers name with enough available funds on it.
- In the event of any of the above, no refunds will be made to you. The car hire company reserves the right to refuse a car if you fail to arrive on time with all necessary documentation and a credit card with enough available funds for the cars security deposit.
- You failed to provide the booking receipt that is required to pick up the car.
CANCELLATION CHARGES POLICY
For all canceled reservations OUTSIDE the FREE CANCELLATION PERIOD there will be no refund. Changes to a booking for example postponing the delivery to a rental a day (s) later will be considered as a cancellation from the original date. Le Charme reserves the right to either charge a full day (s) or half day rental
A booking is canceled within 48 hours from pick up, the renter will be charged the full pre-payment or 20% deposit as a cancellation fee.
Between 48 hours & 7 days, full pre-payment or 50% of your deposit 48 hours or less, full pre-payment or 100% of your deposit

If a hire car is damaged or stolen, there’s a limit to how much the renter will have to pay to repair or replace it. ‘Excess’ is simply the name for that limit.
